BSPPT Sells The First Sulfur Pastilles To The Market

On the afternoon of July 25, 2025, Binh Sơn Petroleum Packaging and Trading Joint Stock Company (BSPPT) sold the first batch of sulfur pastilles to the market.

Previously, on July 8, 2025, at Dung Quat Refinery, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) held a ceremony to launch a new product – sulfur pastilles, and is expected to sell it in July 2025. As a long-term partner of BSR, BSPPT is one of the first companies to sign with BSR to distribute this product. On the same day, BSR representative performed the handover ceremony of products and product quality certificates to the Director of BSPPT.

Sulfur pastilles from Dung Quat Refinery can be utilized in numerous industries, including the production of DAP/NPK fertilizers, sulfuric acid, pesticides, paper, rubber, metallurgy….So, the market for this product line is very large and brings high value. The sulfur pastilles produced by BSR are solid, yellow, uniform in size, with a purity level of ≥ 99.5% and moisture content ≤ 0.5%. Sulfur pastilles offer several significant advantages over liquid sulfur, such as easier packaging, transportation using standard containers, long-term storage, reduced fire and explosion risks, slower oxidation, and no sulfur dust dispersion into the environment. These advantages help sulfur pastilles easily access a wider market, especially industries requiring high technical standards. Currently, BSPPT plans to export about 150 tons of sulfur pastilles products to partners per month.

This event is not only an important commercial step but also a testament to the strategic and sustainable cooperation between two units operating in the petroleum industrial in Quang Ngai.
